100 years of AEC
By: Stephen Pullen
Last year's AEC rally was held at Newark on May 28-29 and featured the ‘Bomber County’ Road Run on the Saturday. Both road run and rally were open to all makes and all clubs and societies were welcomed.

The AEC Society Committee is very excited about the plans for the centenary celebrations of the famous AEC lorry and bus manufacturing company based at Walthamstow and then Southall.
Celebrations for AEC 2012 will include road runs throughout the country, joining at Newark on Saturday, May 26, 2012. Other events and rallies throughout 2012 will be held in other parts of the UK to celebrate the centenary, and the commercial vehicle vintage press will be advertising these dates as we are informed of the owners’ plans for 2012.
If any owners/members are interested or have a local rally/event which will be attended by AEC lorries and buses please visit the dedicated website for an entry form for the main event in Newark and latest news of all the 2012 celebrations – www.AEC2012.org.uk
