The ultimate bitsa!
By: Stephen Pullen
What you end up with if you've got a bit of free time and a load of old lorry and car parts!
This unusual vehicle was on display at this year's Carrington Rally in Lincolnshire. It was made by John Wright who describes it as an 'experimental fake'. The chassis is from a 1972 Leyland FG350 while the engine is a Commer TS3 two-stroke diesel. The rear axle is from an 8.2 litre Cadillac and has a limited slip diff. The vehicle uses Rover SD1 steering with a Mercedes lorry power steering system. The radiator is from a Fordson tractor and the curved body panels are sections of roof from a Ford 100E. John says the car is not finished -and it never will be!
